Catarratto Pinot Grigio Farah is a white wine produced by the Musita company, located in Salemi, Sicily. It is a blend obtained from Catarratto and Pinot Grigio grapes grown with organic farming methods, falling within the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) Sicily. This classification guarantees a certain level of quality and provenance for Sicilian wines.
Here are some characteristics of the Catarratto Pinot Grigio Farah:
- Grapes: Catarratto, Pinot Grigio
- Name: IGP Sicily
- Winemaking: The grapes are destemmed and briefly macerated. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature with selected yeasts. The wine then ages in steel tanks for a few months before bottling.
- Organoleptic characteristics: The wine has a straw yellow color and aromas of white flowers and citrus. On the palate it is lively, fresh and has a persistent finish.
- Pairings: It pairs perfectly with light and delicate foods such as seafood appetizers, cured meats or vegetables, or fish-based first courses.
