Falanghina del Sannio Ancient Towers La Guardiense
Falanghina is a native grape variety of Campania, cultivated for centuries in this region. Its name derives from the Latin "falanga", due to the shape of the bunch, which resembles a line of soldiers in formation.
Falanghina is found mainly in the provinces of Benevento, Avellino and Caserta, where it finds ideal terrain in warm and temperate climates and in volcanic and clay soils.
Characteristics of the wine:
Falanghina wines are distinguished by their intense straw yellow color, floral and fruity aroma, with notes of citrus, white peach and melon. On the palate they are fresh, savoury and mineral, with good structure and persistence.
