Maurleo is the second company wine. Produced since 1998, it represents the second phase of my experimentation. In the continuous search for balance and expressiveness, with the aim of producing my second Sangiovese base, with greater freshness and drinkability, respecting my usual choices: only our grapes and respectful vinifications

    HARVEST PERIOD: First and second ten days of September.

    NATURE OF THE SOIL: Calcareous white clays with a high PH with a skeleton formed by fossil shells from the Pliocene age.

    ALTITUDE: 100-150 meters. slm PLANT DENSITY: 7000 vines per hectare. YIELD PER PLANT: 1.2 kg of grapes

    VINIFICATION: In cement with indigenous yeasts and maceration on the marc for four weeks on Sangiovese and 20 days for Malvasia and Colorino AGING: Large barrels for Sangiovese Raw cement for Malvasia and Colorino

    AGING: 6 months in the bottle

    TIPS: Store the bottle lying down in the dark no later than 20°. Uncork at least one hour before consumption. PAIRINGS: Grilled meats, game birds, elaborate pastas with meat and vegetables, cured meats, medium-aged cheeses

    ORGANOLEPTIC NOTES: Colour: Deep ruby ​​red with blue reflections Bouquet: Intense with hints of red fruit, toasted and light vanilla
