Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG Il Lebbio

Vernaccia di San Gimignano Il Lebbio is a DOCG white wine produced by a historic farm located in the Sienese hills, a few steps from the medieval city of San Gimignano.

Characteristics:

• Grape variety: 100% Vernaccia di San Gimignano
• Production area: San Gimignano (SI), Tuscany, Italy
• Climate: Temperate, with cold winters and hot, dry summers
• Soil: Galestro, rich in limestone and skeleton
• Vineyard: Guyot cultivation, with a density of 6,000 plants per hectare
• Yield: 60 quintals per hectare
• Vinification: Manual harvesting of the grapes, fermentation in steel at controlled temperature, refinement in oak barrels for at least 12 months
• Alcohol content: 13.5 % vol.

Tasting notes:

• Color: Intense golden yellow with amber reflections
• Aroma: Complex and elegant, with notes of dried fruit (almond, hazelnut), citrus (cedar, lime), white flowers (broom, acacia) and spices (white pepper, ginger)
• Taste: Dry, savoury, mineral, with good acidity and a persistent finish
